Who we are
AppVero is a mobile measurement service operated by CODERDOT TECHNOLOGY (“we”, “us”). For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact [email protected].
Scope and roles
This policy covers two kinds of processing:
- Our own processing — when you visit our website, contact us, apply to partner, or hold an AppVero account. For this data we are the controller (or the equivalent role, such as “data user”) under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data-protection laws.
- Processing for our customers — when apps and websites that use AppVero send us data about their users. Here our customer decides why and how the data is processed, and we act as their data processor. The customer’s own privacy notice applies to that data, and requests from app users should go to the customer first.
Website and sales data
- Forms (demo requests, contact and partner applications): name, work email, company, website, country, role, your message and, for partners, partner type, volume and integration interests. We also record the page you submitted from, your IP address and browser user agent to prevent abuse.
- Emails and calls you have with us.
- Account data for the AppVero dashboard: name, email, account and team details, sign-in and audit information.
Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and loads no third-party trackers. See our cookie policy.
Data processed for customers
Depending on how a customer configures AppVero, the SDKs, links and APIs may send us:
- Device and app information: operating system and version, device model, locale, timezone, app version, SDK version.
- Identifiers: an AppVero install ID, the Google advertising ID and App Set ID (where available and permitted), the Apple IDFV, and the Apple IDFA only when the user has authorised tracking under App Tracking Transparency; a web visitor ID set by the web SDK; a customer user ID if the customer provides one.
- Network data: IP address and user agent, used for attribution, fraud prevention and coarse location (country).
- Engagement data: link clicks and impressions, campaign parameters, ad click IDs, installs, sessions, in-app events and revenue, deep-link opens.
- Purchase receipts (App Store signed transactions or Google Play purchase data) when the customer enables receipt validation.
- Install referrer data from Google Play, Meta and Huawei AppGallery, and Apple Ads attribution tokens.
The SDKs send nothing until the customer’s app starts them, and stop sending when the app turns them off. Customers are responsible for giving their users notice and, where required, obtaining consent.
Why we use data
- To provide AppVero: attribution, deep linking, reporting, postbacks, webhooks and data exports configured by the customer.
- To protect the service and our customers: request signing, fraud detection and abuse prevention.
- To respond to enquiries, run demos, process partner applications and manage customer relationships.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service, and to meet legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing a contract, our legitimate interests (for example, securing the service and responding to business enquiries), legal obligations, or consent where it is required. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customer data to sell or target advertising.
Who we share data with
- Infrastructure providers that host and run AppVero, primarily Amazon Web Services.
- Destinations a customer configures — ad-network postbacks, webhooks and data exports to the customer’s own storage. These are sent on the customer’s instructions.
- Platform services needed for attribution, such as Apple’s AdServices API for Apple Ads attribution tokens.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
Where data is stored
AppVero runs on Amazon Web Services. Each workspace’s data is stored in a single AWS region. Data leaves that region when a customer configures a destination elsewhere (for example a postback endpoint, webhook or storage bucket in another country), or when a platform service used for attribution is located elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we do so as permitted by applicable law and with appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep website and sales data for as long as needed to respond and to manage our relationship with you, and account data for the life of the account plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Customer data is kept according to the customer’s agreement with us and deleted or returned when that agreement ends, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored credentials, least-privilege API keys and signed webhooks. See Security for details. No system is perfectly secure; please report vulnerabilities to [email protected].
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it, and ask us to limit processing — including for direct marketing;
- request erasure or restriction of processing, and receive your data in a portable format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. If your request concerns data an app or website sent to AppVero about you, we will refer it to — or handle it on the instructions of — that customer.
Children
Our website and dashboard are for businesses and are not directed at children. Customers whose apps are directed at children must configure the SDKs accordingly — for example, by not collecting advertising IDs.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and tell customers about material changes.
